How We Work With Our Clients
At Neil Friesen & Associates, we believe that getting to know our clients and their financial needs is very important when building a long term working relationship. We need to know that our clients understand their investment options and how their choice of investments will best benefit them. We have the financial products and a good working knowledge of Accounting and Estate Planning to help in virtually any situation. If we do not have the answers, we know the people who can get these answers for you.
Investing and tax planning is a learning curve for most clients. Too many have simply invested in whatever Mutual Fund, GIC, Life Insurance, or RRSP that was placed in front of them.
We believe that before a client makes an investment, they must first have a good understanding of how each company works, what they do, how they make their money and what growth or returns the clients should expect (often agreed upon rate of returns). Only then can they make an intelligent choice.
When clients begin to understand how to properly use money to their advantage, it opens up a new dimension in their lives. Combining solid investments, (not Mutual Funds) together with good tax planning strategies will enabled them to create positive investment portfolios.
We believe in getting to know the owners of the companies we promote. We analyze their growth, future plans, their strengths, their exit strategies, how they make their money and most importantly, how they will pay our clients.
The following is an example of how we work with prospective
clients when they come into our office:
1st At our first meeting, we would simply like to get to know you and introduce you to the world of investing from a different perspective. You will learn about the different companies we work with and then you can decide if this information might benefit you and your family or business. At this point we usually send you home to think about what we have shown you, talk things over with your spouse or business partner, and give you an opportunity to digest what you have learned.
2nd We now encourage clients to investigate what you have heard. You will have full access to websites and phone numbers and from time to time we will even host an information seminar so that you can hear this information first hand. We will also share with you our own due diligence done on each company. We want you to ask questions. You need to feel comfortable enough to know that you are making wise investment decisions.
3rd Once you are comfortable with the direction we are heading, and this can sometimes take a number of meetings, we will proceed. You will now have the understanding to design your optimal investment portfolio, according to your individual needs, comfort levels, and with returns that you feel are right for you. At this time we will help you with all necessary paperwork and you can start to reap then benefits of your decisions.
