At Neil Friesen & Associates, we believe that getting to know our clients and their financial needs is very important when building a long term working relationship. We need to be on the same page as our clients when working with them to look after their money. We have the financial products and a good working knowledge of Accounting, Estate and Financial Planning to help in virtually any situation. If we do not have the answers, we know the people who can get these answers for you.
Investing and tax planning is a learning curve for most clients. Too many have simply invested in whatever Mutual Fund or RRSP that was placed in front of them.
We believe that before a client makes an investment, they must first have a good understanding of how each company works, what they do, how they make their money and what returns the clients could expect (often agreed upon rate of returns). Only then can they make an intelligent choice.
When they begin to understand how to properly use money to their advantage, it opens up a new dimension in their lives. Combining solid investments, (not Mutual Funds) together with good tax planning strategies has enabled us to create positive portfolios for individual investors.
We believe in getting to know the owners of the companies we promote. We analyze their growth, future plans, their strengths, how they make their money and most importantly, how they will pay our clients.
The following is an example of how we work with prospective
clients when they come in to our office:
1st At our first meeting, we would simply like to get to know you, introduce you to the world of investing from a different perspective, and then show you some examples of how this can benefit you. At this point we usually send you home to think about what we have shown you, talk things over with your spouse or business partner, and give you an opportunity to digest and investigate on your own.
2nd In the meantime, if you are interested, we can draft a personalized “Financial Road Map”, outlining some suggestions and opportunities which we feel may be best suitable to achieve your financial goals. During the follow up meeting, we will go over this Road Map. We will further explain each opportunity and answer your questions.
3rd Once you are comfortable with the direction we are heading, and this can sometimes take a number of meetings, we will proceed. Together, with you, we will design the best portfolio, according to your individual needs, comfort levels, and with returns that you feel are right for you.
