These investments are not traded publicly on any organized exchange, rather they are distributed, to qualified investors, in the exempt market place. For this reason, they may be referred to as exempt securities.
Essentially, we raise raise capital from private investors and provide this investment capital to private companies whom offer extraordinary investment opportunities that are not widely available.
With fewer investors and certain restrictions on the trading of these exempt securities, you will find that alternative investments will include potentially higher returns, reduced portfolio volatility, and diversification benefits resulting from low investment correlation with other holdings you may already own.
